Fr Richard is the Catholic Chaplain to the University of York appointed by the Bishop of Middlesbrough. The Catholic Chaplaincy can be found at More House a beautiful old rectory with an enormous garden on Main Street in front of Halifax College. There are Sunday and weekday Masses and regular Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and opportunities for confession. Every term there are pilgrimages, retreats away and days of recollection at home. More House is also home to CaSSoc (The University of York Catholic Students’ Society). The Catholic Chaplain is part of the Ecumenical Chaplaincy to the University and together we organise many other weekly prayer times, talks, discussions and meals. We look forward to seeing you there.
Mass is only celebrated at More House during Teaching Weeks and Revision and Assessment Weeks.
